“Strength and growth come only through continuus effort and struggle.” Napoleon Hill
Don’t you love how we celebrate genius?
We love to think that people just fall from heaven.
Broadcast media has a incredible habit of catching them at the peak of their success.
It’s because of this simple principle…
Do you know what doesn’t sell?
We love to see the finished product, the journey to get there is of much less interest.
In doing this we inadvertently feature success continuously. We jump from one success story to the next.
This constant process of featuring talent distorts what success truly is.
Success is a long journey of growth. Talent is cultivated over many years. Strength to perform at a high level is the result of consistent effort.
None of us see this.
We watch and distance ourselves from our own genius by focusing on everyone else’s.
We celebrate the triumphs of our heroes and forgot about our own goals.
We become followers of the gurus rather than mastering our own speciality.
So this is what I want you to do.
Recognise the journey and celebrate it. Nobody else will, you will have to actively do this yourself.
Before influence comes mastery.
Mastery requires consistent effort.
Consistent effort requires strength.
Strength requires courage.
Achieve maximum self growth through maximum effort and struggle.
Embrace it. Live it. Breathe it.
Just remember that when you become the next guru…
Don’t forget to remind everyone how you got there.
