Ingredients:
- 1 cup full-fat coconut milk
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated) or 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon slippery elm powder
- 1 tablespoon date paste (or 2-3 pitted Medjool dates, soaked)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1/2 cup warm water (optional, for desired consistency)
Instructions:
- If using whole dates, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain and blend until smooth to create date paste.
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.
- Blend on high for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or spices as needed.
- Gently heat in a saucepan over low heat.
- Pour into a mug and sip slowly and mindfully to support gentle digestion.
