Run Your Own Life.

'The Daily Dose' By Matt Potts

"Either you run the day or the day runs you."

Jim Rohn

Jim Rohn does it again.

I’m pretty sure that I really have little to add to this little gem of wisdom.

Although it may not be a paradigm shifting thought, this wisdom has an incredible ability to change your life.

You see, your time management can come down to two available options.

1) You run your own schedule.

2) Your schedule runs you.

If we were all to be honest, I think we would all experience both aspects in our lives depending on what season of life we are in.

Sometimes things fly across your ‘desk’ of life that are simply out of your control.

I get that.

But what exactly would we classify as something that has the capacity to ruin our schedule?

It’s in this definition where the successful depart from the crowd of ‘wannabes’.

If our definition is too loose , we classify most things as having the capacity to run our schedule.

Through this process we get little done and never deliver on what we want to achieve in life.

However if we are strict in what we let run our schedule, suddenly we are released to do exactly what we have been called to do.

Where most people would say that they feel constantly distracted by what life throws at them…

The ultra successful seem to have this gift on their life where they just seem to be in control of their own life.

Friends, you don’t need to be ‘special’ or ‘gifted’ to harness this powerful trait.

You simply just need to redefine what you want to dictate your schedule.

You can control them.

It’s simply a matter of the correct prioritisation.

What would really stop Michael Jordan for getting on the basketball court?

Not much really.

Our ‘game’ is no different to his.

We have just as much to play for.

To prioritise and live.

So get off your but.

Take control.

Achieve what you want to achieve.

Don’t be run  by anything.

Run your own life.
