Pick up the Ball.
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”
If we were to be honest with ourselves, we don’t take risk because we fear certain outcomes.
These outcomes range in differing levels of impact.
The outcomes we fear in modern society almost never impair our safety or freedom.
But still we fear them.
Yep, roll on fear.
Well, it sounds like we really need to get our heads around potential outcomes so we can make correct decisions.
We need to understand that our lives can’t be dictated to by negative potential outcomes.
These false realities that we invariably create.
No, we need to take action for the very reason we often don’t.
Please read the above line again. (repeat x3)
Because without any action at all, there is no potential for another outcome.
Oh my, forgive me for even being so ridiculous to mention this possibility… do I really think that there actually could be a …
My red wine tonight is speaking, I apologise.
The message I am going to leave you with is simple.
If you don’t shoot in life, you lose either way.
Although it feels safer… It actually isn’t.
If my post today is speaking to you, you have probably put down the ball prematurely.
Its time today that you picked it up again.
Although you may miss several times, actually no, hundreds of times (make that thousands of times to be fair).
The shot that you do make in life will change it forever.
That’s all you’re looking for, one shot.
It will never happen, if you never try.
So now that you know you really have nothing to lose.
Pick up the ball.
Get in the game.
You really owe it to yourself because remember; the only real loser in life will be the one who never tried.
