"Never say never, because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion."
Limits are defined as this (thanks google):
1. a point or level beyond which something does not or may not extend or pass.
2. a restriction on the size or amount of something permissible or possible.
Now I want you to focus carefully on point number 2…
“…permissible or possible.”
Permissible = “adjective; permitted; allowed”. (thanks again google).
Ok so let us connect the dots.
Is it possible that in life we permit limiting beliefs to hold us back from achieving our dreams?
That was soft.
Lets try that again.
Your limiting beliefs hold you back from achieving the life that you want.
When you look to excuses as to why you are not where you’re at in life.
I’ll point you to limiting beliefs.
You must understand how important this is.
Limiting beliefs not only hold the individual back.
They hold us back.
Us? I mean the entire human race.
Where would we be today as a civilisation if the dark age never happened?
Not here, I guarantee you that.
As limiting beliefs are permissible, they often thrive in our minds completely unnoticed.
It’s hard work finding them.
That’s why I don’t recommend finding them on your own.
Do the following exercise in the presence of a trusted friend/partner….
Write down your life goals as if you could achieve anything you wanted to.
Rank each one according to how likely you thought you could achieve that specific goal.
Next to the goal write down why this is unlikely/likely.
(this is the critical part).
EXPLAIN this to your partner.
Often it’s when the words come out of our mouth that we realise how ridiculous some of our limiting beliefs can be.
There you go, another secret ninja way of uncovering these dream suckers.
Weed them out.
They’ll rob you of your calling in a cancerous, imperceptible way.
So to sum up?
Read this incredible quote from Tony Robins below… (x10) “Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally save their lives.”
