Don't Look Back.
I find it interesting when listening to someone’s excuse about something.
What they say, how they say it and who they blame reveal a lot about people.
It reveals their various paradigms and limiting beliefs.
It shows their true mindset.
It reveals the paradigm in which they see the world.
It uncovers the laws of their own version of reality and how they operate.
Be very, very, very careful about what you give in an excuse.
A developed mind can read you in a heart beat.
People will see more than you think.
Taking ownership of your failures (not exuding yourself) is seriously one of the most significant steps a person can take on their journey towards success.
Read this quote.
Then read it again.
Ok, Here we go…
“People spend too much time finding other people to blame, too much energy finding excuses for not being what they are capable of being, and not enough energy putting themselves on the line, growing out of the past, and getting on with their lives. “ J. Michael Straczynski
Excuses are like quicksand.
The more you use them, the further you sink.
The more you sink, the more energy you use to escape.
The more energy you use, the less effective you become.
It’s then just a matter of time until your past buries you.
This habit will rob you of your calling and destiny… as the following quote shows.
“Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.” George Washington Carver
So let me hit you between the eyes.
I promise this will hurt.
Is it possible that you are not anywhere where you are meant to be in life because of the excuses that dominate your world?
I cringe with fear when I ask myself this question.
So should you.
Your destiny is worth far more than your excuses.
Although they appear to aid in fixing our personal dissonance when we fail.
They are however the most insidious virus to your self development.
So I challenge you again.
Differently this time.
Leave the past behind, dream big dreams for the future.
Embark with vision.
Don’t look back.
Make no excuses… And dream like you’ve never dreamt before.
