Are You Really Happy?

When the Dalai Lama XIV was asked,

What surprised him most about humanity?

He said…. “Man surprised me most about humanity.Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

I’m going to be pretty direct with you today.

Because you deserve it.

You deserve to be asked one of the greatest questions of your life.

Have you stopped to ask yourself the question, are you really happy?

Are you living your life in such a way that that you’re never going to die?

How long will it take you to realise that you’ve never really lived?

Have an honest conversation with yourself right now.

Life can be like autopilot sometimes, the system turns us into drones, we forget what it’s like to truly be alive.

It’s not until we take a vacation and we realise what we’ve been doing to ourselves.

We wake up to what reality really is.

Being happy.

Enjoying each day.

Loving those that are closest to us.

Living free.

Let’s look at Bronnie Ware, she worked as a palliative care nurse for years and summarised the 5 major regrets of the dying, lets see how it lines up with the quote above.

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

This is why I am so passionate about coaching people to be set free in every single way.

Life is too short.

It’s my goal that the people I can touch can never mention any of those things on their death bed.

That’s they’ve truly lead the life they wanted to live.

No regrets.

Today, don’t listen to the thoughts of the dying.

Listen to the thoughts of the living.

Ask yourself the big question. Do what you need to do to make any changes.

Live the life of your dreams.

Die happy.
